Well it happened it and it was AMAZING!

Honestly {from the time i signed up} to the {time i packed up my stall} and everything in between was handled with professionalism, smiles and support!

The 3 Cheif Mommy Officers aka as Nashia, Lamya and Ziana who came up with the idea of this event are a force to be reckoned with. They did an impressive job of making sure that the event was a successful one!

I shared a table with my friend Dahlia Al Riyami who was representing her company Tushy Tots where she sells handmade headbands and provides a solution to mothers when handing kids during the messy times.

It was such much fun having her around, we supported each other, laughed and simply had fun together. I am so glad i did this with her, {thanks D for being there x}

 Whilst there not only did i promote my online shop and sell my items but i also got the chance to meet lots of lovely people. I thank all those who came and supported me, my family, my friends, my blog readers, twitter followers and those who like my facebook page {check my page for more pictures of the event}!

Everyone who visited Mommy and Me said that they really enjoyed the exhibition and suggested to have it more frequently during the year as it is currently an annual event {yup, thats how AWESOME it was}

During the exhibition Dahlia and I were also interviewed by the lovely Rumaitha for Radio Merge 104.8  although we {Dahila and I} were both nervous it was so much fun and i promise to share the interview once i get it.

I just had to link this blog post by Andy in Oman, Andy is a dad, currently residing in Oman  who also attended Mommy and Me!

Mommy and Me also had the help of students of the Sultan School who volunteered to help out so thank you guys for donating your time!

Even though i didnt end up having coffee with the CMO as planned, however i did managed to grab them  for a group picture.

I tip my hat off to you 3 ladies. I am truly honored to have met you all 3 in person and really appreciate your efforts in making Mommy and Me a successful and fun event for us all!

If you were to ask my mum what is one thing i cant get enough of, she would sigh and say handbags. LOL its true though i am a bag addict i have so many of them and want to know something else…one of the reasons why i love sewing so much is that i can make my own handbags!

In today’s blog post i  am going to share more handbag sewing tutorials..because it seems that i am not the only one who loves handbags. My previous handbag tutorials which you can check out here, here  and here are on my popular posts list.

The reason why we need so many bags is you see what most ppl (men) dont understand that we lead busy lives and we need a bag for EVERYTHING!!

Now a typical day, you start the day by going to the gym and of course you will  need a  gym bag, and this one by {Sew Like My Mom}is perrrrffect

After your workout, you go back home, get some rest do some chores, log online or whatever it is that we ladies do. You then get ready to go meet you girlfriends for lunch..and this gorgeous tote bag  by aka known as Tohoku tote bag by {I am a Momma hear me roar} is ideal for that, dont you think?

Now i must admit that is one day filled with bags and even with my bag addiction that is just a tad too much bag changing for moi!

I am super EXCITED to announce that Sew Chic and Unique is participating at the Mommy and Me Exhibtion due to take place on the 25th and 26th of January at Al Noor Hall, Medinat Qaboos from 9am until 9pm .

Mommy and Me is unique because its the first of its kind in Oman. Three ladies Zaina Qaiser, Lamya Al Kiyumi and Nashia also known as Chief Mommy Officers {how cute is that?} These moms got together last year and organised the first mother and child exhibition in Oman back in February 2011.

It was wonderful to finally have a place where we could take the kids to have fun, play and just enjoy them selves. While us mums can have our fun too buy shopping

This is your time to come and meet me in person and have a look and FEEL the practical things i make.

With the launch of my online shop just 3 weeks ago  and the girls being home for the past 2 weeks i dont feel i have much time  energy for much else. In addition to the above my niece is over for the holidays so the girls and i are spending as much time as we can with her before she lives next week.

However in between the laughs and the relaxing running around I did manage to upload a video on my YouTube channel announcing  the launch of Sew Chic and Unique online SHOP and introducing my items ♥

In January of 2011 I was all packed and waiting for our BIG move to Malaysia

February didn’t blog much too busy settling down in Malaysia and in March took the {Indie Biz Course} and had a blast!

April was when i bought my Bernina aka Rory

Come the month of May  i realised that as hard as i tried i could NEVER be superwoman!

In June announced that {we were heading back home} but not before meeting {Zura}

August was about adjusting to life back home whilst {missing beautiful Malaysia}

September determined to leave the past in behind and start {a new beginning}

October taking it day by day and simply {enjoying the ride}

November busy getting things ready for…

To be honest this year was not an easy one for me so glad its over and only hope that 2012 will be a good one for us all.

Who would have thought that in less than a month being in business and i have already been featured in a Y local magazine  and have had orders that have been keeping me busy.

I get to be around beautiful fabrics, i cut them and sew them {Bliss}

I wrap my orders and get them ready to be shipped to their lovely owners {JOY}

I have lots products to upload but please keep in mind that as much as i wish i had super powers to stop time i run and manage this business on my own and my kids still need their mother and my husband a wife

The Handbag Organizers {never miss a call again} a life saver i tell ya!

The Mini Pocket got a name change to Roll it Up Handbag Organizer because not only does it keep your bits and pieces in place when you want to change bags  you simply roll it up {kewl, i know!}

Inspired by the vibrant colors of bright pink and royal blue i was reminded of the vibrant colors of my own Omani Tradition, hence the product name {Omania Roll It Up Organizer}

You’ve seen the {Floral Handbag Organizer}  ah makes me smile just my looking at it!

and today i am adding the {Midnight Ruby Handbag Organizer}.

Wondering how did the name come about? well the violet reminded me of a cool night breeze and the red of rubies together = Midnight Ruby!

Maman Cherie (aka my mum) has also been busy crocheting these cute and oh so handy pin cushions…
