I remember when i first started Sew It on the 3rd of June 2009 with the aim of inspiring others to sew and try new tutorials & techniques.
Little did i know that a year and 2 months later it would come to an end but as much as it saddens me to do this but i think i have to face reality and move on.
I have come to this decision because i find that as much as we would like to with the busy lives we lead it is sometimes hard to finish a particular project.
I spent most of last night thinking if this was the right decision to do or not and i think it is. I am however going to join the list of great link parties and host my own with a new name and you can link up anything that you’ve made and want to show off. I will continue to share tutorials and of course sew my heart away but Sew It was great while it lasted.
I enjoyed hosting it and sewing with you, however all good things come to an end some day and today is the day to say goodbye to Sew It. You will still be able to access the tutorials all the tutorials from the Sew It tab on the left.
So thank you very much for your continued support and i do hope that you will link up to my new party *to be announced soon* when you can.

I can totally understand because I have had such a hard time trying to make time to join in and I’ve actually felt so terrible about it. Having said that I’m thrilled you did do it, and that I found you through it, that makes it worth while in my books. I’m still going to follow and see what great things you sew up. awww i loved “Sew it” and i have always wanted to be a part of it
but i don’t have a sewing machine yet and my sewing skills arent that good
we would love to see tutorials you made by ur own

aww feel so sad but I know what you mean! Its been so hard lately for me to join in, but Mayya trust me, I wouldn’t have touched the sewing machine if not for Sew It. You were so encouraging and made it so fun too.Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to do this for beginners like me. Would love to see what you come up in future.

Oh this is bittersweet…I loved Sew It and the fun I had sewing along with so many sewing friends, priceless…yes can totally relate to the reason you mentioned, I keep telling myself to try and sew the fabulous projects week after week, but always ended up not catching up. Sew It will truly be missed, but then again, we can always have a sew along once in a while right? Thank you Mayya for taking the time and for being such a lovely, encouraging sewing friend!
I agree with Zura, we can still have the odd sew along. I’m always looking for swaps and sew alongs to join in when I have the time and when it’s something that interests me. Finding this is the hard part though. Maybe if you hear of any you can pass them along to us?

I voted every week and saved all the tutorials to make the projects eventually. I know it is disheartening when you have put so much time and energy into finding the perfect projects for us. I definitely will be making some of these and when I do will share with you. Cannot wait for your next party.
Though I participated only once I love to see what is going on in Sew-it. Waiting for another party like this.. I enjoyed this a lot. thank you..
