I remember when i was nursing my two girls i hated having to do so in public because it is sometimes hard to find a discreet place to nurse. I remember i used to use ponchos but the ones i found were for winter therefor it used to get very hot LOL
You can buy some (just click on the images for the link)
Or you can make your own!!
Here is one i made for a friend
Ideally the straps should have D rings so it can be easily adjusted but as i couldnt find any here i used velcro instead.
This is a great gift to give mums as it really comes in handy
Will post up link to tutorials so you can make your own!
Happy Sewing

Great idea!
I made these for myself when I was nursing my baby. I liked that the front stayed open!

Very cool. When I’d nurse my kids, I’d just toss a boring old blanket over us. These are much cuter!
Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!

Just to tell you I am really enjoying your informative tutorials. I am in the process of making three of these for the wee3babys that are joining our family soon. Logan comes in first on the 27th so of course his will be out of here by Monday at the latest. I will for sure send you a photo for your pages.
I am planning on doing a few tutorials on simple for me, but intimidating for newbie’s, such as zipper inserting in different projects. If I can pick your mind for tips on setting up a place to show them. Please email to me a tutorial on such.. blog or not to blog?
Thanks again for putting this item out there for all of us, new moms and old great great Aunts.

I love your beautiful covers – especially since they are double sided. I also have tried a few different cover styles, and this is my favourite as I can actually see my daughter the whole time. These are really lovely.
