Remember the ring pillow sneak peak from last week?
Well the wedding was last Tuesday the bride and groom looked stunning and so did my flower pillow LOL
I made it using this great tutorial from Lil Blue Boo. It was pretty straight forward and i really loved the final result. This was my first attempt at making a whole project with satin (very slippery i tell you) especially since i am used to working with cotton.
The flowers were actually made by gathering (which is sewing a lose stitch and pulling the thread to make the gathers) which i chose to do by hand (who knew that a simple method could produce great results?)
The theme colours were gold and blue which explains the blue stones, i was really happy with the outcome and so was the bride.

That is one lovely ring pillow…if only I have a wedding to organise I would have used the same pattern…unfortunately all my sibling including me are married.. LOL! good job!

The finishing is great the color too, maybe next time you try on with silver finish or make the pillow with velvet material with strong colors.

I created a pillow for my brothers wedding on Friday
The advantage is that i got a pillow given to me with the right color fabic and worked around it adding personal touches….can send you a pic if you want to see
