I meant to blog about this on Friday but i needed to rest i was so exhausted!
Let me start with some pics
here is how i set up my table

and my it was a huge table measuring 2.5 meters!!
Did you recognise the fabric, this is actually my old IKEA curtains! kewl ha)

Can you spot my little helper? very sweet she was prentending to be on the phone LOL
She was ever so sweet and very social on that day, she extended her hand to say hello to most of the people who stopped by!! *maybe she was trying to get them to stay longer at the table and buy stuff–great marketing strategy*
As usual i got lots of praise for my items and lots of people were shocked to find out that i had made every single item!
My stall attracted lots of young girls (must have been all that colour!) i had one girl who came up to me and this is what happened
The girl points to the organiser and asks ” what is this”?
I explain it to her and show her how its used
She then asks ” OK, how much it is?
I tell her its costs 6 RO.
Then she says ” hmm do you have anything for 1 RO?”
I smile and say hmm yes actually i have bookmarks they cost .500 bzs each
then she holds one in her hands and asks me “what is this for?”
I tell her how a bookmark is used and meanwhile she is inspecting the bookmark and goes “hmmm ok i’ll come back” and walks away
and i smile and say “OK see you in bit” whilst thinking to myself that girl was very indepdent, and confident she is defintely going to be something when she grows up.
And true to her word a few mins later she came back and says “ok i’ll take it”
I sold most of my organiers, 2 of my makeup roll sets, and all my bookmarks!
I so wish i had taken a picture of the 4 little girls who came and bought my bookmarks, they were so cute in their swimming costumes and fell in love with the bookmarks.
They kept going back and forth asking how much, touching and feeling the bookmarks, went to ask their parents for money, then again holding the bookmarks and having a major discussion with each other as to who would buy what, and calculating how much it would cost, aw they made my day!
I nearly ran out of business cards most people didnt carry cash on them, they only had the PDO card which i couldnt accept, as i only took cash.
I got lots of orders, met family members whom i only see on occasions so all in all it was a great 4 hours spent and i have my dear friend and talented reporter to thank Karima Farid.
I would also like to thank Karima’s mum who came by and changed my table set up which made a huge difference. Thank you Aunty
I really appreciate the things people do to help me no matter how big or small it makes a difference so THANK YOU
Now that is over i have to prepare for a craft sale which will be at a house in Al Hail i cant post the details on the web for privacy reasons.
However if you are free on Wed Nov 11, from 10am-12pm and would like to attend the craft sale let me know and i will email you the details
