Why i blog?

I am taking part in Laurie’s talk to me tuesday of tip junkie  in  answering why i blog?

My answer 2 words :

To Inspire

I remember back in november 08 when i first starting blogging on Daily dose of me i challenged my self to keep it up for 3 months!!

I was inspired by the likes of Heather Bailey and Patty Young. These ladies are talented fabric designers, great sewists and mothers! Its because of them that i decided to take up sewing

So my blog turned into a crafty blog where i also share news about my girls.

I host a weekly sew a long called  Sew it  which is aimed at beginner sewists.

However, i also aim to inspire my readers to  follow thier dreams. I quit my day job to be able to spend time with my girls but wanted else to keep my occupied and sewing was it Want to know more? about me head over here

 I started my company Sew Chic and Unique, i love sewing the joy it brings me and those around me is priceless. Sewing is not really big in Oman, we have expatrits tailors who make our clothes so many of the women here rely on them for thier dresses to the tiniest sewing task! Naturally i use my blog to keep my readrers informed of my latest handmade items.

I wanted to be different which is why i dont sew clothes, i make other stuff and i hope that my blog will give an idea as to how easy it is to sew, because if i can sew, you can sew too!

I have a dedicated spot for women who inspire me i call them Crafty Mamas. In addition i gather sewing tutorials which are all listed in Tutorials posted by other crafty mamas and share them with my readers

A few blogging tips i have picked up along the way

- Be yourself

- Find a topic you are really interested in could be about anything think about it a hobby perhaps

- If you do start a blog, update it regulary

- Find other blogs with simliar intersts and comment on thier blogs and hopefully they will be pay you a visit and comment on yours!

- Visit Darren @ Pro Blogger for more blogging tips he knows what he is talking about!
