I dont even know how or where to begin to tell you this but i guess i just have to say it
i wont be launching my online shop as planned today 
Why? you may wonder
Simple reason but before i tell it to you let me explain how i found out it wont be happening (its going to be a long post, sorry)
On Thursday evening i was chatting to my web designer the very famous Yonici. Going over about the minor changes to the shop interface and getting used to the back end of the shopping cart i felt quite happy with it all. We decided that we would meet online again in order for her to assist me in uploading the images and putting on the final touches.
Off to bed i went as I had an early start on Friday as i had a photoshoot session scheduled for 10am and had still to finish sewing one business card holder !
Friday Morning: The day started well i had finished sewing my last item earlier during the day at 7am!
Came down checked my emails and waited for Sara my photographer who also happens to be my sister in law who arrived promptly at 10am to take pictures of my items.
Two hours later after she did her magic ended up taking over 80 pictures! She went home sorted them out, copied them on a CD for me and brought it home for me to upload them onto the site.
During that time i had gone grocery shopping with the family, came back made dinner waited for the kids to sleep and sat down to upload the pics and add the final touches for the launch tomorrow.
Yonici was online s promised and helped me with resizing the images she shared a great tutorial that i just have to share with you. Its shows you how to resize pictures in batches with a click of a button! Click here for the tutorial
After all the images had been resized me being the person i am, like to double check everything asked Yonici if there as a way to check if a sale would go through, in other words if we could test out by purchasing an item checking that i would get payment.
Now her comes the shock! Yonici was unable to continue the transaction because as per Paypal Policy Oman is not on the list to recieve money through paypal, we can only send!
Now for some reason i didnt know this i just assumed if was given access to paypal that i could send and RECIEVE money!!! And without it i can not have launch my shop until i find another a resolution to this MAJOR problem.
And that ladies and gentlemen ends my story….I really apologise for all those who were as excited as i was about Sew Chic and Unique shop.
This by no means is me giving up, those words does not exsist in my vocabulary.
This just a bridge i have to figure out how to cross over and i will do so in sha Allah and when I DO i shall see you at the other end

It’s comforting to know that you’ve done your best, and that it’s because of reasons beyond you that the site has been delayed. That’s how I comfort myself when I’m in a similar mode.

I couldn’t sit still while my computer sorted it self out & I eagerly waited to visit the site & check out the store! (Yes, I’ve been excited about it for quite a while now) But anyway, it’s good to know that everything is in place & all will be up & going soon, insha Allah… Good luck! =)

Oh mayya, as I read this I just knew where you were going. I am SO SORRY that it didn’t click to me earlier on to warn you about that. I had similar problems with Bubbas and Mummas. Give me a call if you want to chat about it and how I managed to take payments in the end.

So cheer up and I’m sure when you finally launch it, it will be AMAZING Inshallah. The paypal thing is annoying but there’s bound to be a solution.

I just read your post about uploading pics, and why your shop wn’t be up. I must tell you, I’m not at all surprised, that the problem would be paypal. They are owned by ebay, and they have had TONS of problems. There are other credit card systems out there too. Paypal, isn’t the only one. Check with your hosting company, and see if they recommend any to you! Good lucks!

Maybe it will work for you? A store I shop from (hijabyonline.com) uses them to process payment I have never had a problem ordering from them so maybe it will resolve your problem. (I hope because I just checked out your youtube channel and got excited about a new store! I will keep my eye open for other solutions too.
