Yes you guessed it!
Yours Truly
I finally decided to go ahead and become part of the millions who video blog on You Tube.
You might be wondering why am i doing this?
LOL yeah i know seems very out of character to put myself out there.
Although previously being a musician i should be used to being the centre of attention but i am not!
However, I decided to start video blogging because i wanted to share my passion. I love sharing what i know with others and this is the prefect opportunity to do so. My aim is to inspire anyone out there to sew because it is such a great skill to have and it WILL come in handy one day believe me (sorry for sounding like my mother LOL)
ehm ehm…drum roll please drmmmmmmmmm
Please welcome The Sewist on You Tube
I would love to get your feedback what did you think of it?
Please forgive me for the wandering eyes this is after all my first video and i will get better at it so keep your suggestions rolling

Very nice! I look forward to more of your videos.
Watching how you handle the needle and fabric will be a great lesson in itself, no matter what you choose to highlight for your project. So many of us new sewists (and I’m in my 50′s) did not have mothers or grandmothers who sat and sewed with us. I would like to see technique.
Thanks!
Thank you Remnant for your support on the contrary to you i had a mother, grandmother and aunts who sat and sewed with me but I did not have the time then (what a shame, i so wish i could turn back the clock)
Thanks for stopping by I plan on uploading another video soon
Mayyyaaaaaa!!! Mabrook Habibti!!! This is so impressive! Good for you and may Allah bless you and your endeavors more and more, ameen! I am so excited for you and it was soooooo nice to see you again! We need to meet up so I can give you your lovely doll book! Softies are BIG in the world!!!! Congrats!!! xoxo
Ok, I’m back! I just posted and then reread and realized that I did not answer your question. Sure, with time the wandering eyes will subside. It wasn’t bad. Your voice is clear and loud, which is good. I love the writing part of the video in the beginning and the end too. I think it was great and for the most part, you won’t be talking directly to the camera I would think but you will be physically showing us stuff, correct? If so, make sure your lighting is good (it is on this one too!) and the camera doesn’t move. The best of luck!
Thanks Alia i am so glad you liked it!
Yeah we need to meet up soon however lately everyone has been busy and getting sick but in sha Allah we will plan something in the VERY near future.
Hi Mayya,

Mayya, mabrook on a fantastic videoblog!!! It was clear and you were so confident masha’Allah. I’m very excited about this especially as you know…I’m a litte (a lot) scared of a sewing machine…hand sewing and I have been friends always though.
Can’t wait for more…
Allah eibarak Washi, so glad you liked it
Lets hope my videos will make you friends with your machine
