Make a Basket with Sew IT

Sew IT

This week we are going to be making a fabric basket for Sew It.

Each alternative week i sit and think of what we could sew and so far its all been things i personally wanted to make, which i  think is unfair. I mean Sew it is meant to be enjoyable and everyone should get to choose what they would like to make. So I started a topic in the forum titled Suggestions for Sew IT so you can tell me what YOU would like to sew.

The readers of Sew Chic and Unique (SCU) know that every tuesday i share tutorials that i find online which are prepared by other sewists. You can view the list here  (or by clicking Tutorials on the left).

Last tuesday i posted tutorials on how to make fabric baskets and most of the members in the fourm expressed their interest in trying to make one.

So here is the basket we are going to make this week

The tutorial is from Orange Flower patterns

Remember once you’ve completed the tutorial:
  • Take a picture of your finished project

If you have a blog

  • Link the Sew IT button on your blog side bar so visitors know that you are in a sew a long and might want to join the fun :)
  • blog about it on your blog and comment on THIS post so i know you are done.
  • If u dont have a blog send me the picture via email to sewchicandunique [at] gmail [dot] com before Tuesday.

I will feature all finished projects and link to your blog on feature it wednesday which is when we show off our sewing skills.

If you are on facebook join the group i created for Sew it

Anyone can join in the fun all you need is your creativity and remember take it a stitch at a time

I thank you for sewing with me and i look forward to seeing your baskets.

Cheers
